I have found meditation and creative work can go together as one contributes to and
enhances the other. For me making drawings act as a bridge between the artwork and the meditation: Impressions from the outside interact with the eye, mind, breath, hand, and surface. I like to collect objects and contemplate their origin and current condition. My work is subject to chance operations that occur when applying and removing collaged elements and materials. My connection with wood is a spiritual and symbolic experience.
I will be exhibiting alongside 20 artists at the Spring Exhibition. This hand finished etching will be on display along with other new prints at Creative Recycling Gallery Beech Rd, Chorlton. Starts next Saturday 18th May until 21st June 11am-5pm. Come and have a browse in the 'Shed' gallery and relax in the sculpture garden. A great place to visit on a street of cafes and boutiques. Everyone welcome.
